2020 Festival Package
As in previous years, the Festival opens with a reception at one of Australia’s grandest Georgian houses, Clarendon. Enjoy this very special house and garden and the opportunity to sample the many sparkling wines for which northern Tasmania is justly renowned.
Down the road in the village of Evandale the British based Marmen Quartet with pianist Piers Lane will open the Festival. We join the artists for supper following the performance.
Saturday morning at the atmospheric St. Andrew’s Uniting Church in Evandale, enjoy a harp recital from the effervescent Genevieve Lang.
A thirty minute afternoon drive through lush farming land brings you to historic Westbury. Enjoy a second concert from the Marmen Quartet in the Anglican Church and a recital by Australia’s finest percussion soloist, Claire Edwardes in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Both churches can be found on the edge of the Village Green where afternoon tea will be served between concerts.
A candlelit concert on the Saturday night in the magnificent Christ Church, Longford has become a tradition. We are excited to present the a capella ensemble, The Idea of North.
Sunday morning we are back in Westbury for a virtuoso recital by the brilliant pianist, Piers Lane in the Town Hall. Just a short walk away is Culzean, the magnificent house and garden of Dinah Fitzgerald and Philip Leith who will graciously host a splendid lunch.
The Festival Package includes 6 concerts, welcome supper, post- concert reception, afternoon tea and lunch. Cost $725.
