Program 2022
2022 Festival Pass
The first concert begins in the beautiful Georgian village of Evandale where we welcome Australia’s internationally renowned Goldner String Quartet playing Schumann. They will be joined by pianist, Piers Lane in the mighty Brahms Piano Quintet.
I think one of the highlights of each Festival is the opportunity to discover a new part of Northern Tasmania. This year it is the Meander Valley and the beautiful Village of Westbury. Westbury’s three churches will feature performances by percussionist, Claire Edwardes, harpist Genevieve Lang and a fabulous homage to Sculthorpe by the Goldner String Quartet. We will enjoy lunch on the Village Green.
The evening of day 2, we move to the atmospheric Christ Church, Longford for a performance of Schubert Lieder by baritone, David Greco and pianist, Erin Helyard. Die Schone Mullerin will be performed in Festival 1 and Winterreise in Festival 2.
Sunday morning we are back in Westbury for a piano recital by Piers Lane featuring works by Grieg and Liszt including the great B minor sonata.
This will be followed by a sit-down lunch with Piers Lane at the beautiful house and gardens of Culzean.
